In Place is an ongoing project that brings people together through shared experiences—primarily around food, art, and nature’s teachings. At its essence, In Place celebrates the beauty of slowing down and connecting with the present moment, fostering a sense of community. Each gathering is a creative act, whether it's preparing a meal, curating a space, or honoring the land in which the event takes place - each detail reflecting the culture, people, and rhythms of that place.

In a fast-paced world, there’s something deeply healing about gathering around a candlelit table, savoring a carefully crafted dish, and genuinely connecting with those around you. The simple act of breaking bread together opens the door to meaningful exchanges and shared experiences - allowing for deeper, more vulnerable connections. We hope that every guest leaves an In Place gathering with a new sense of inspiration, a deeper appreciation for the world around them, and a renewed desire to bring that same intention and creativity into their own communities.

In Place was born in 2024, when Sara hosted two seasonal gatherings, collaborating with friends to bring these spaces to life. With a passion for the arts, food, and culture, In Place has become Sara’s personal project to explore the stories behind food, cooking, and the land that nourishes us. Through collaborations with like-minded creatives, resources and skills are shared, enriching both the events and our community at large.

In Place events will be hosted throughout the Rio Grande Valley (where Sara was born and raised) in the Spring and Summer season’s this year.
